RAIL TRANSPORT DOCUMENTS

Lithuania is a transit country where two different regulations apply:1999 Uniform Rules Concerning the Contract for International Carriage of Goods by Rail (CIM) and 1951 The Agreement on International Goods Transport by Rail (SMGS). Joint CIM and SMGS way bill may also be used.

Rules for Carriage of Cargoes by Railway Transport (Official Gazette, 2000-06-28 No. 52-1507) describes the rail transport in the Republic of Lithuania.
